Quarters were fatal for most top seeds. #1 & two 3/4 fells to two English, Torrie Malik et Layla Johnson and to Egypt Fayrouz Abouelkheir. Only surviror, Asia Harris hold her seeding.

Semis were on the same pattern: two matches, two contrasted physical types. Asia & Torrie, tall and powerful, against smaller players with a squash based on technique, Layla Johnson et Fayrouz Abouelkheir.

Layla resisted her compatriot Asia, but finally bowed. Second semis, a few too many decisions apparently, but Egyptian's shots were not enough today.

So, here we have an All English Final, Asia Harris & Torrie Malik, both girls yet having to lose a single game in the event.

BU13

About the same story for the quarters, only 1 top seed managing to reach the semis, Rowan Damming.

Spectacular semis, with first Dutch Rowan Damming managing to handle Egyptian Abdelrahman Sadek. Although losing two games quite badly, the Dutch was able to clinch a victory in 5.

Second semi, with a great opposition of style - quick and dynamic Caleb Boy from England, and the Welsh Daniel Lewis, more settled squash. Daniel had had a great event thus far, ousting Belgium no1 Nathan Masset and French Antonin Romieu.

First blood went to Caleb, the Welsh drawing level quickly. But the English seemed quicker and more determined, victory to Caleb. The final should be riveting as both finalists possess spectacular squash.

GU15

Pools matches saw some upsets. Amber Coopley, unseeded, confirmed her good form, while the three favorites - Ella Galova, Ninon Lemarchand (retired injured) and Anya Stojanovic fell short in the race for the group 1st place. Hence two unexpected semis.

Amber - the surprise of the event so far - kept on her wining course, clinching a five setter against Iranian Niki Shemirani. She'll face her compatriot Maia Pannell, who dominated Belgium Marie-Amélie Callebaut.

BU15
It was a better day for the favorites in that category, with seed1 Marek Panacek killing off nicely all local home players.

He swept Mattéo Cremoux in the quarters, then showed his focus ability in the semi against French Paul Gonzalez who truly threatened the Czech, but the "LittleMarek" showed that size truly didn't matter...

Marek will play English Adam Goad, who had to battle in the quarters against Ryan Lewis in 4 games.

Then another true fight in the semis against Alhassan Khalil , two similar styles grinding each other. And it's the one that was the less tired, Adam, that gets to play the final against Marek...

GU17

Finally an age group where the top 4 seeds reached the quarters - and the only one for that matter!

A bit of a scare for Alina Bushma in the quarters against Northen Ireland Ellie McVeigh. Leading 2/0 comfortably, she found herself having to clinch the match in the 5th....

Polish Karina Tyma had also to fight hard against English Eve Coxon, whose short game truly caused troubles to the English based Polish girl, who finally overcame her opponent thanks to a perfect lenght game. And in the semis, Karina was just offering fireworks to Alina Bushma, imposing her game nicely.

In the other semi, Dutch Fleur Maas dominated Swiss Ambre Allinckx, but will have to sort out her little drop of focus she seemed to have in her today's match.

BU17

The top two quarters were pretty close... French Noah Hateau was able to beat l'Anglais Perry Malik in 4 close games, while Yannick Wilhelmi clinched English Junior Star Sam Todd - well done for your tournament Toddy Junior!

The bottom draw was more straight forward, English Oscar Beach and Czech Viktor Rybus got to the seis without dropping a game.

Semis were more onesided. Suffering from a twisted ankle, Noah Hateau was not able to find the energy to fight against favorite Wilhelmi while Czech Viktor Rybus  
walzed through the second semi, beating easily Oscar Beach, thanks to a good territorial domination and superb power squash.

GU19
Finallly an age group where seeding was respected, with
Hannah Craig and Krystina Fialova played a pretty perfect tournament from the word go, winning top position of the pools then beating the 2nd of the pools in the semis.

The two French representatives, Laura Gamblin and Maëlle Fuhrer were not able to unsettle the favourites, but assure France of a bronze.

BU19

Very high quality squash today in that age group. Belgium  Sanjay Jeeva created the upset dispatching of favourite  Elliott Morris from Wales in three.

Bottom draw, two very intense matches: Roman Allinckx had to find his best defensive game to overcome Edwin Clain, and David Zeman was forced to a decider against Indian Vikas Mehra.

As for the semis, it was the same intense atmosphere. The Belgium's technique made the difference, and Sanjay beat Liam Eason from Wales in an nailbitting five setter - Liam has had a few of the "Gawad style matches" this weekend! In the other semi, Czech David Zeman got the better of Roman Allinckx who didn't seem to have recovered from his previous tough match.
