c'est tout bon...C'était
un début en douceur avec seulement 4 matchs au programme - avec
une invasion d'Ecossais! - arbitrés par Yann Bonguardo (qui sera
rejoint demain par Laurent Combaluzier).

Pas trop de bagarre dans le
premier match où l'écossais Jamie HENDERSON imposa son
jeu tout en variation et balles posées contre le hollandais
Roshan BAROS en 26 minutes, 3/0.
 Un
deuxième match plus disputé avec l'anglais Matthew BROADBERRY
qui a pris le dessus progressivement sur l'écossais Craig
VALENTE-WALLACE après avoir perdu les deux premiers jeux. Craig
multiplia les fautes directes en 2 eme partie de match et finit
par s'incliner 11/3 au 5ème.
3ème rencontre un peu déséquilibrée entre Sergio MASUDO
(Japon) et Sacha LEHMANY (notre jeune joueur des Arènes) où
Sacha a
bien résisté et construit (dans le 2 eme jeu) mais été dépassé
ensuite par la vitesse des échanges.
4eme et plus beau match de la journée entre la construction et
la précision de Chris LEIPER (Ecosse) et les jambes de Stuart
GEORGE (Ecosse). Victoire de ce dernier , mené 2/0,
sauvant une balle de match dans le 4eme : victoire en 65
minutes. |
Little Report
Only four matches to day as the top 4 qualifyers had a
bye. A strong contingency of Scottish bless them, 4,
unfortunately for them two of them had to play each other….
A very one sided match between Seigo Masuda from Japan
against local junior Sacha Lehmany, 18m and only 7 points lost.
Jamie Henderson also dominated Dutch Rosham Bharos in
easy straight games, 26m, but if the third match was pretty fast,
31m.
It was a weird one, Matthew Broadberry losing the first
two games 8, 8 only to come back and take the match, 11/3 in the
5th – apparently helped by a lot of unforced errors from his
opponent Craig Valente Wallace.
Match of the day will stay the All Scottish battle, like the
previous match, Stuart George was led 14/12, 11/8, and
even saved a match ball in the 4th, and still grabbed the
encounter, 11/6 in the 5th against compatriot Chris Leiper.
